Hands to work as it were… I have most of my family helping out now, my mom crochets the tiny bonnets, one per day. My youngest looms preemie and newborn caps and my grandson helps with the fabric coordination and packaging…
I’ll spend an entire week of cutting, that week end sewing, next week trimming and flipping the following weekend ironing and top stitching. This is about 2 weeks efforts. This weekend I have kids, no sewing… next week I start up sewing for newborns… it’s a vicious circle!

Heaping pile of WIP: tinier blankets that will have matching small (18 week gestation) sized diapers, Burp Cloths and bibs awaiting their matching receiving blankets, Owl/Cat tag rattles that will go with the burp/bib/blanket sets waiting for the stuffing, rattles and stitching…and last but not least not a WIP…a finished preemie blanket made of cotton and Minky blanket with Minky…too fuzzy! 3 wee newborn hankie bonnets… I think the 2 tiny ones on the right may be preemie or angel sized since they are SO small.  Now that I’ve found Restore powder I have even more bonnets in process since I managed to get all the antique hankies clean! Alright not all, one is just not attractive at all, no idea why it went from old dingy to grey dingy… bleck! That one will be put back into the eventual hankie quilt box. July 28^th 2014

Angels sets…whew! Burp cloths in process.  Half will go to God’s Tiny Angels the other half will go to Wright County here in Minnesota for the teen mommies.  Each will have 2 matching burp cloths in a baggie. December 8^th 2013

Cheater quilts patiently waiting for some top stitching.  I’m thinking the lovely flowered one will go to a sweet little toddler I know for Christmas.  The other 2 will be joining about 22 other blankets/quilts for the blanket drive for God’s Tiny Angels. December 8^th 2013

Flannel and cotton waiting some serious ironing and slicing up…Receiving blankets, teeny diapers, angel wraps, perhaps newborn snap gowns and buntings will be just flying out of this pile bound for God’s Tine Angels, Teeny Tears, Angel Outfitters and perhaps a few will go to the teen mommies here in Minnesota…just need the time and energy! Had a busy weekend sewing for angels!

2 larger angel wrap sets ready for packaging: each set will have an angel wrap, matching set of teeny diapers and a teeny no sew cap with coordinating ribbon.  Everything is made with 2 coordinating fabrics so the nurses can choose which fabric works the best for each angel.  I love the green flannel with all the bugs on it! Definitely a boy’s wrap.  It’s lined with blue pin stripe.  The lovely rose flannel is lined with pink stars. These will be joining many other baby goodies in January 2014 for the first box of the New Year traveling to WV to God’s Tiny Angels. November 17^th 2013

Angel Wraps

I’m working on Lay Me Down Wraps, these are the 1st try. 

these are the small ones for up to 18 week gestation angels, the rotery cutter is 8 inches long

I have a larger sized version on the machine for up to 25 weeks gestation angels

these are the cards that will be packaged with each wrap.  I’m also making matching teeny diaper sets and a tiny cap to go with the wraps as well. I got the patterns and the cards from a lovely angel mommy Kaitlyn at Teeny Tears

4 day weekend worth of creativity!

No Sew Angel caps, these ones are for angels up to 18 weeks gestation.  I try to use a multitude of ribbon colors so I can match a cap with an angel set super quick.  This massive amount took a few days of aimlessly watching TV and tying ribbons at the same time. November 3^rd 2013

5 sweet Boy angel sets completed and ready to package for God’s Tiny Angels.  I figure these will be shipped out in January 2014 since the November box is already full and taped shut.

I hit Target and Wal-Mart after Halloween to stock up on adorable baby goodies to send to God’s Tiny Angels for Halloween 2014! Plan on getting more spoon/Fork sets and perhaps teething rings to complete each little spooky package.  Of course I managed to locate more New Born than Preemie outfits, but I bought out all I could find…here’s all my mad money with Shamus looking on.  Not to worry though, it will all get washed before being shipped out next year! November 1^st 2013 Note: I don’t sew P.J.s really not that good at sewing clothing…

I have conquered the horrible-too-expensive-for-its-own-good-fuzzy-stretchy fabric! Boowahahaha! Let the satin edging compel you…OK a little out of control there…but this fabric is in deed the ickiest I’ve worked with and it now resides on the do not buy ever and I mean it list.  I did manage to get 2 slightly larger than preemie slightly smaller than newborn lovies…these will be sent to God’s Tiny Angels in West Virginia with the next batch of baby goodies October 13^th 2013

And I notices I made 6 girl sets and one lone boy set…so I now have 5 more boy fat quarter sets ready to go. Each one of these sets took 2 fat quarters of flannel: 2 teeny tears diapers and one 12 inch square tiny little lovie. I added a matching no sew cap to finish off each set. the one lone diaper will be sent to the Teeny Tears group to be placed into a memory box. 3 newborn lovies for the God’s Tiny Angels newborn blanket drive…3 so far! 2 are yummy flannels and the third is this super fuzzy stretchy stuff I will never purchase again…never…thing is I have enough left over to make 2 preemie sized lovies so I think I’ll be locating some satin edging to finish them rather than doubling the layers like I did the newborn one…and sneeze… October 6^th 2013

The next batch of newborn sized lovies for God’s Tiny Angels…eeeeeeeeee such fun color combinations! And what’s left over from cutting our the blankets I can use for a few sets of teeny tears diapers (hopefully) if not the strips will be saved for some really neat striped quilts eventually… October 6^th 2013
