Hands to work as it were… I have most of my family helping out now, my mom crochets the tiny bonnets, one per day. My youngest looms preemie and newborn caps and my grandson helps with the fabric coordination and packaging…
I’ll spend an entire week of cutting, that week end sewing, next week trimming and flipping the following weekend ironing and top stitching. This is about 2 weeks efforts. This weekend I have kids, no sewing… next week I start up sewing for newborns… it’s a vicious circle!

So SEW SEW

Found a couple of printed panels at JoAnn Fabrics when I ran there for ribbon…and yes the fabric isn’t really stored by the ribbon…Jaz located them for me…nonetheless…each panel has 2 bibs and 2 burp cloths on them so I bought a boy (monkey) and a girl (paisley Elephants) version…total cuteness! These I think I’ll put away for the next baby born but I also took a few measurements and out of a yard of flannel I can get a newborn receiving blanket and a matching bib and burp cloth to make cute little sets to donate… in this pile there are the bib and burp cloths as well as the next batch of large buntings…just need ironing and top stitching! January 27th 2014

Teeny tiny little bonnet crocheted by my mom.  I got the pattern at Angel Outfittershttp://angeloutfitters.blogspot.com/2013/10/easy-crochet-angel-bonn… . I fear mom is quite addicted to making these now! I plan on putting some with the large buntings and any extras can go with the large Teeny Tears diapers…they are so tiny and adorable! This is an itty bitty doll whose head is about the size of a crab apple. January 26th 2014

Large buntings, 16 of which will be making the trek to the National Share office in St. Charles MO.  See the teeny crocheted bonnets?!? Cuteness! http://angeloutfitters.blogspot.com/2013/05/angel-outfitters-buntin…

Very productive 5 day staycation!

Angels sets…whew! I finished all I had cut out and started.  The teeny diapers are via Teeny Tears:http://teenytears.blogspot.com/ .The no sew caps are via: http://angeloutfitters.blogspot.com/2012/10/no-sew-hats.html  and the 12 inch lovies are thrown in so the wee angels can be snuggled.  I worked on these over three days between other projects and celebrations.  Haven’t decided where these will go yet…perhaps a hospital through Teeny Tears and any left over will go to God’s Tiny Angels in West Virginia. good weekend to cut flannel

About 40 + burp cloths ready to sew…figure half will go to God’s Tiny Angels and I hope I can send the other half to Wright County for the young mommies.

I noticed I cut too many girlie ones so cut out another pile of only boy shades… November 23-24 2013

Super cute preemie day gown opened up to show the cute beastie fabric.  Got this pattern from:http://www.miraclebabies.org.au/get-involved/knitting-and-sewing/

3 preemie gowns totally done so far.  I might look into purchasing a snap setter…

http://www.miraclebabies.org.au/miraclebabies/assets/File/Premature…

For some reason the large version prints right off the page so this one is ‘small’ I also cut out 4 ‘medium’ we shall see how big they turn out. I could get 2 smalls with coordinating fabrics out of 2 fat quarters with a nice sized chunk of left overs to put into the eventual flannel sweetie quilt. I made mine out of flannel since I’m sewing in the mighty north! November 24th 2013

busy weekend sewing for angels

Had a busy weekend sewing for angels!

2 larger angel wrap sets ready for packaging: each set will have an angel wrap, matching set of teeny diapers and a teeny no sew cap with coordinating ribbon.  Everything is made with 2 coordinating fabrics so the nurses can choose which fabric works the best for each angel.  I love the green flannel with all the bugs on it! Definitely a boy’s wrap.  It’s lined with blue pin stripe.  The lovely rose flannel is lined with pink stars. These will be joining many other baby goodies in January 2014 for the first box of the New Year traveling to WV to God’s Tiny Angels. November 17th 2013

2 smaller angel wrap sets ready for packaging: each set will have an angel wrap, matching set of teeny diapers and a teeny no sew cap with coordinating ribbon.  Everything is made with 2 coordinating fabrics so the nurses can choose which fabric works the best for each angel.  These will be joining many other baby goodies in January 2014 for the first box of the New Year traveling to WV to God’s Tiny Angels. I have a larger sized version on the machine for up to 25 weeks gestation angels

working on keeping busy!

4 day weekend worth of creativity!

No Sew Angel caps, these ones are for angels up to 18 weeks gestation.  I try to use a multitude of ribbon colors so I can match a cap with an angel set super quick.  This massive amount took a few days of aimlessly watching TV and tying ribbons at the same time. November 3rd 2013

5 sweet Boy angel sets completed and ready to package for God’s Tiny Angels.  I figure these will be shipped out in January 2014 since the November box is already full and taped shut.

November 2nd 2013

8 Cute girlie angel Sets completed and ready to package for God’s Tiny Angels.  I figure these will be shipped out in January 2014 since the November box is already full and taped shut.

November 2nd 2013

I hit Target and Wal-Mart after Halloween to stock up on adorable baby goodies to send to God’s Tiny Angels for Halloween 2014! Plan on getting more spoon/Fork sets and perhaps teething rings to complete each little spooky package.  Of course I managed to locate more New Born than Preemie outfits, but I bought out all I could find…here’s all my mad money with Shamus looking on.  Not to worry though, it will all get washed before being shipped out next year! November 1st 2013 Note: I don’t sew P.J.s really not that good at sewing clothing…

While watching a few scary movies into the night I chopped up 2 rolls of Stockinette to make no sew caps to go with the teeny diaper sets.  These piles have already been flipped and just need to be tied with cute ribbon.  No idea how many are here…lots! October 26th 2013

Fresh from the drier preemie P.J.s for the next box going out to God’s Tiny Angels. CUTENESS! October 27th 2013

Warm fuzzy preemie P.J.s clean and ready to be packaged for God’s Tiny Angels. October 27th 2013

New Born Receiving blankets all washed and ready to be packaged for the God’s Tiny Angels Blanket Drive, I’m up to 22 quilts and blankets so far. Filled up one large box…guess I’ll be looking for another box since I have 20 yards of flannel waiting to be chopped up as well as at least one panel to quilt for the drive as well. >happy dance< October 27th 2013
